One Pre-Babies Body (A.K.A. "the former me")
Let's be honest, running (or any attempt at said exercise, or any other exercise for that matter) with 30+ extra pounds SUCKS and personally I'm a little sick of it all. Yes, I recognize that it is totally my fault. I didn't really exercise before babies (and naively, I thought that I didn't need to) and I was the one that gained 50 pounds with my first pregnancy and then didn't lose all of the weight before getting pregnant again (but I did lose quite a bit of it). And yes, I was much better with my weight gain the second time around and only gained the "recommended amount of weight", but it's not going away like it did with Keegan. I never really thought that it could be this hard. I have had to face some cold, hard truths about myself, like the fact that I lack the discipline and self-control to completely cut out sweets from my life (sorry, but I like my ice cream way too much) and that I eat because I'm bored, tired or simply because the food is there and I know that needs to stop. I'm willing to make the changes needed, but I really wish the it would happen a whole lot faster than I know that it will.
So, I'm offering a REWARD to anyone who can tell me where my former self is and how I can get it back ASAP (I'm talking lightning speed here folks). You can have all the yummy snacks and treats that I'm going to have to cut out of my life. If you have any information you know where and how to find me.

If I knew where to find yours, maybe mine would be close by? hehe...I can dream, right? All I can say is "keep it up, kiddo" Yes, the running sucks, but the more you force yourself to do it, the easier it becomes. To break up the running schedule, I also invested in some dancing work out videos. They are a lot of fun, the girls can do them with me, and it's also helping me to get my groove back. Another idea is to use the website sparkpeople.com; you enter in your weight loss goal, the time frame, what types of food you like...and it customizes a meal plan for you and all that fun stuff. IT's sort of like southbeachdietonline or weightwatchersonline, but this one is free. Just a few thoughts, because I totally know where you're coming from. I love you.
When I got pregnant with this guy I was finally starting to get my pre-baby body back. That being said, I have no secrets...it was going slowly and was hard work. I will say however, that I do not believe in cutting out the things you love, just having them in moderation. I don't think that changing you life to the point of not ever enjoying things is a plan that you will not stick with, so why not just start with moderation. Also remember your goal to not get too stressed over it, it will happen in time as long as you keep working at it:)
Since I will be joining you again in this quest in a short time I expect you to have some great ideas for me;)
The bodybugg. Greatest invention of all time. I got down to about 20 pounds less than when you knew me in college....don't ask me why I haven't used it since Jax...a little preoccupied, I guess and a little under motivated. Its a suggestion!:)
I'm doing nutrisystem and it seems to be working (7lbs in 8 days so far). Check out my progress: www.sweetladylosesit.blogspot.com
I'd recommend it for people who are too busy to count calories or rethink portion sizes on their own. Also, their online community is really supportive.
